These stores are Starbucks, Microsoft, Nordstrom, and CostCo. In the state of Washington people are not required to pay income taxes. Washington also does not collect corporate income or franchise taxes. The state sales tax is currently at 6.5 %. However residents of Washington have to pay an incise tax which is applied to cigarettes, gas, and alcohol. Washington is home to many large cities and counties.
