Vermont’s largest city is Burlington with an estimated population of 39,148, the next largest city is Rutland with 17,103 and then South Burlington with 16,285.

Vermont has a continental moist climate and is known for its muddy season in the spring. The summers here are warm and humid while the winters are cold. In winter temperatures range from -38-59 degrees and in summer from 41-101 degrees. The annual snowfall amounts for Vermont are between 60-100 inches dependant only on the elevation. The state is known for its wonderful cross-country and downhill skiing areas.
