The economy for this state is based mostly upon petroleum and employees roughly 2/3 of the population. Tennessee’s gross state product is estimated at $1.09 trillion, 2nd in the nation. The state and local tax burden is considered the lowest in the nation.

Texas has a number of different climate zones throughout the state. In the winter, the panhandle is colder then North Texas, while the Gulf Coast is very mild. The Eastern and Northern portion of Texas suffer from strong thunderstorms and it is also part of Tornado Alley. The state is also known to emit the most greenhouse gases in the country.
