Chattanooga, the fourth largest city in Tennessee, is known as “The Scenic City”. According to a 2006 census, the city had a population of 168,293, and its metropolitan area had a population of 496,704.

Chattanooga’s healthcare structure can be divided into three different hospital systems: Erlanger Hospital, Parkridge Hospital, and Memorial Hospital. Erlanger Hospital is manged by Tri-Star Healthcare, and Memorial Hospital was recognized as one of the Top 100 teaching hospitals by Solucient Top Hospitals. For recreation, residents and tourists in Chattanooga can enjoy a wide range of activities. Different types of museums, including the Hunter Museum of American Art and the National Medal of Honor Museum, serve as this city’s major informational outlets. The Chattanooga Theatre Center, which offers 15 productions annually, brings entertainment to Chattanooga every year. A nine-day festival, the Riverbend Festival, is hosted every June in Downtown. Other attractions include the Tennessee Aquarium, Raccoon Mountain Reservoir, and Reflection Riding Arboretum and Botanical Garden. There are several educational outlets in Chattanooga. Colleges in this city include University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Southern Adventist University, Covenant College, and Lee University.
