The climate of Jackson is a humid subtropical area and has hot, humid summers and mild winters. The city has temperatures ranging from 42-64 degrees in the winter and 72-91 degrees in the summer.
The city has the second largest port on the East Coast and the largest deepwater port in the South. Jacksonville is also leading transportation and distribution hub in the state of Florida. The current economy for the city is distribution, financial services, biomedical and consumer goods to name a few.
The city of Jacksonville is divided into six major sections, these sections are the; Greater Arlington area; North Jacksonville; Northwest Jacksonville; Southeast Jacksonville; Southwest Jacksonville and the Urban Core.
The city of Jacksonville has the largest urban park system in the United States with more than 337 locations having more than 80,000 acres. The area is known to have a major theatrical district and has also had a number of film and television productions use the city area for location shooting. Jacksonville Landing and Jacksonville Riverwalk are large dining and shopping venues. There are also a number of museums in the area. As for sports, the Jacksonville Jaguars National Football Team plays in Jacksonville Municipal Stadium.
